Amps and pedals overview
GarageBand includes a variety of amp models that simulate the sounds of famous guitar and bass amplifiers. When you create an audio track for electric guitar or bass, you can choose patches with an amp model and one or more stompbox pedal effects.
To further customize your sound, you can open the Amp Designer, Bass Amp Designer, and Pedalboard plug-ins and have full access to amp and pedalboard controls. Using Amp Designer or Bass Amp Designer, you can choose an amp model, adjust the amp controls, and choose different cabinets and microphones to customize the sound. Using Pedalboard, you can add and reorder pedal effects, adjust effect settings, and customize pedal routing.
You can open the Amp Designer, Bass Amp Designer, and Pedalboard plug-ins in the Smart Controls pane.
